The issues are mostly electro-mechanic in nature. As
Sigwx mentioned, they were designed to be used, not to be in suspended animation. Every airline that's sent its planes to the desert in deep storage for long periods of time will have this sort of issue until they get a C- or a D- check. Qantas is, I hear, also having issues with their 388s, to name one.
