If you are looking for cheap XP but are willing to spend some time/money on the travel/discovery portion of the runs, AZ has started to codeshare with RO. There is a good fare to be had out of AMS, a rare double-connector out of a hub, but some weird married logic applies.
You can find a trip for 635 EUR giving a decent 7.05 per XP, if you are willing to accept a forced overnight in Rome on the way there (arriving either early afternoon or in the evening, departing lunchtime next day) and Bucharest on the way back (arriving in the evening, departing late morning next day).
