Are we sure the terms haven't changed recently, because current t&c seems to indicate lifetime language (and nothing about 24 months):
"Any bonus associated with this offer may only be earned once. You may not be eligible for this offer if you currently have or previously had an account with us in this program."
It comes down to this: If Barclays approves you, you'll get the bonus. The "may" has always been there and the 24 months has always been a soft rule.
