I have been told by the BAEC call centre (in relation to my own previous bookings, this query is on behalf of a relative) that the highest luggage allowance prevails if the domestic conncetion flight is in economy (due to no Club reward availability). Don't think it matters but the scenario in question is a 2-4-1 redemption, all on one ticket. EDI-LHR-IAH (all in Club), the return is IAH-LHR-EDI (the LHR-EDI leg is economy). The allowance stated on the ticket is 2x 23kg for the last leg only.

The below wording is taken from a 2016 thread on here and apparently featured on the BA website at one time or another (so would make this abundantly clear). I can't find that wording now. Is there anything formally written down to alay concern on the website or somewhere we can look on MMB etc?

My experiences with the call centre have not been great so I wouldn't want to take their word for it, with the greatest of respect.

"If your journey includes flights in more than one class, the more generous allowance will apply to your whole journey (unless the flights are on separate bookings then each class's allowance will apply to the individual flight)."
