Do you have a bunch of transactions with the same merchant on the same day? With the system they have setup in the portal it looks like the bonus points only get tabulated daily per-merchant, and if there are multiple purchases with the same merchant on the same day it just allocates all of the bonus points to the first transaction. When that happens the multiplier look off like these charges from SL:
