As a mitigation strategy, people should book tickets on a more reliable airline.
I won't hesitate to book a Delta flight with even a tight 50 minute connection, because past experience says I should have no problem.
I won't book any connections on AC under three hours, because past experience says making even that is often questionable.
AC wastes my time. Delta does not. AC should somehow compensate me for that.
