With the old rule, you would still had your 1279 UXP in your counter and you would have to earn 521 UXP (1800-1279) in 2024 to renew your status for 2025 (valid for one year).
Wouldn't he be qualified for both 2025 and 2026 under the old set of rules?
It used to be 1800 XP = 2 year qualification. In this case, it seems like he paid 3*900 XP for a 2-year period (be it seen as 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 calendar years)
