Someone who knows the A350 airframe: are the wings aluminum? If so, does that mean that the metal parts (engines, wings, gear) survived while the rest burned to ash?

I wonder if there will be any questions about whether carbon fiber is less survivable in a fire. Obviously, in this case, the time from ignition to slides inflating was as short as it could possibly be (plane was already on the ground). If the aircraft were in-flight, however, there would have been a much longer delay.
