A late inbound crew is within an airline’s control as it is up to the airline to ensure sufficient crews are available for a departure ex main base. The weather will be causing disruption so it also comes down to where your aircraft was and what measures were used to minimise the delay, but if there was an aircraft and merely insufficient crews to step in and no pressing ATC delay for an on time departure then they are on the hook. However delays out of LHR to (I assume) MAN wouldn’t necessarily fall in scope.
