I don't usually bold my posts, but if you are considering a PE ticket, don't spend almost $2K more for the O fare when A fare is available, and business class is lower than O fare.

Buy the fare okay with you (economy or PE), and see what kind of upgrade offer you would get. Instead of upfaring, maybe consider using those funds for the paid upgrade.
