On property

Couple things:
-Shout out to the previous rec on Mother Flower. It’s a ten minute easy stroll off property and the tacos are incredible. I’m spoiled with all the amazing Mexican food living in So Cal, and can give this place 5/5 stars. Birria(beef not goat) tacos are muy bueno. My better half raved about the pollo tacos.

- breakfast at Don Manuel is always a favorite and the occasional gripe is unfounded. Yes the full buffet upcharge is $20, however you can eat to your hearts content. Blame Hilton Honors for their poor Diamond benefits. Hyatt clearly provides the best breakfast benefit.

I always order an egg dish and ask for a side of bacon. Take advantage of the daily specials to the far right when you enter. Today they had cochinita pibil tacos and beef quesadillas, both solid. Ask for Salvador with the hostess as the dude is a character and on point. Today is my queens bday and he made breakfast extra special. Normal days he always provides great service and you can tell he loves working here.

- far too many rude guest this trip. The entitlement and arrogance of some peeps is pathetic.

- I love this property and find it the best redemption option with Hilton. Having redeemed in Moorea, Bora Bora, Maldives, and elsewhere I stand strong to that statement.

- I was upgraded to a Ocean View Deluxe and so far this is my favorite room. Only issue is the neighbors kids peering into our room, having scaled the plunge pool and helping themselves to the planter in front shared by our rooms. That’s a parenting issue and no fault of the property.

- My only recommendation is to figure out how to add more loungers. Some people feel entitled to hog them, leaving them unused for hours. I cannot stand that selfish behavior.

Weather is perfect, vibe is solid, and the party is just getting started. Time for some Mexican water!
