or does the no mileage function simply means it doesnt come with a membership of JMB? the top blue card in your link mention that it has "mileage function'. Hence, a HK resident can simply get both the JMB card and the AEON card to acquire both "functions"?

I did some poking around - it's highly confusing, apparently the AEON Card JAL has a "shopping mileage function" (earning miles from spending I believe), but no "mileage function" (e.g. no status points?).
