A lovely restaurant is De Silveren Spiegel (the Silver Mirror) on a quiet side street near the Centraal station. We were staying at the Renaissance and it was just across the street. Traditional food, romantic atmosphere, tasteful service and an excellent wine list. Expensive and worth it.
