we just connected from Singapore to San Fran through NRT and we *did* have to reclear security. Connecting flights pathway after landing in Terminal 1 let us to a security checkpoint before we were deposited back into Terminal 1 to catch the flight to San Fran. It was an ANA to ANA transfer.
