Comments: A return to Bali and this hotel exactly six years after our last stay. Upgraded on the app more than a week before arrival to the Junior Suite we've had on two previous stays. Staff are wonderful here. Hotel was closed for 2.5 years due to the Great Plague and it's a shame they didn't spend the time doing a proper refurbishment of the rooms and grounds because a lot of it is starting to look shabby now which we didn't remember from our previous stays. Clientele has moved downmarket too from the behaviours at breakfast (someone sitting themselves at our table while we were off getting food, for example). Also, they took full payment up front at check in and hotel services default to pay-as-you-go now (we had to call reception when we had room service delivered to avoid paying there and then on the portable card machine despite them blocking IDR1,500,000 on my card for this purpose so normal behaviour of charging things to the room is obviously not expected any more). It's quite cheap though here and we like the location for a few days.
