The good news is that SWA has very few gates in ATL - so you will not have much walking to do. And they know you are scheduled to be on that flight.
I would give this a less than 15% chance failure and would be okay booking it myself. I would make an effort to be as far forward on the first leg as possible. Do the A1-a15 upgrade if you do not get a decent boarding number. If you are flying solo and board late - grad the first middle seat you find.
