The last several trips I’ve had issues with the “feee messaging” on my iPhone.

Log into the Alaska Wi-Fi and connect to the inflight site. Click feee messaging then it states with the green banner “you are using free messaging pass”. Typically connect when on ground. Able to send messages without issues. Then about 1 30-45 minutes in air no longer able to send or receive messages as typically expected.

I subsequently will log in and have a separate iPad that I have Wi-Fi pass and log into my account for Wi-Fi pass to steam shows and email. This still works reliably. No issues with the messaging and Wi-Fi simultaneously for the first 30-45 minutes in air.

On my iPhone can still stream the Alaska movies so the Wi-Fi is still connected but no messaging success.

Any thighs or work arounds. This only became an issue about late December 2023.
