Account tracker "updating" since Dec 27 - what takes so long?

Why does Hilton stop account tracking Dec 27 (5 days before end of year) ? ...................... IHG, Marriott, Radisson continue tracking

What takes Hilton so long to make account updates (read that it continues to sometime Jan 10-14)? ........ IHG, Marriott, Radisson don't take this long


Appreciate if Hilton can provide list of steps, where in the process, what causes this situation ? Hilton seems to be worst in the industry at "updating"

What is Hilton doing (give us the steps 1 to n-1 , and progress meter) ? ..... I'm surprised because Hilton IT is great #1 consistently fastest Points Crediting (& improved in 2023 vs 2022) and on Front-end its My Way specifies the benefits & choices for each brand ..it's very clear. Other Hotel groups with multiple brands should do as Hilton

Procedure at Calendar Year End
0. Dec 27 turn off account tracking (why? Other hotel programs have Credit Cards, new Memberships occur at various points during year and Other hotels have same issue)

A. Hilton vs Itself YearEnd 2023 vs 2022 vs 2021 ...vs 2010 etc.
1) Some comments "happens every year". Where is the progress / improvement over the years? No one internally has thought to improve things?
2) Tracking on .Com(website) has two sections: one similar to the .App which is shut /shows no info thats consistent. But .Com has another section showing the Nights of 2023 and we are at 2024 January 2 today ...so that's wong info...

B. Hilton vs Other major hotel programs (IHG, Marriott, Radisson; maybe Hyatt?)
1) Shorter cut-off of Tracking
2) have correctly reset Nights = 0, and await the Rollover nights
3) all have Credit Cards, new Memberships occurring at various points during year. Does Hilton have some other unique aspects causing Hilton to take considerably longer than Other hotel programs?
