We are going on an Alaskan cruise in June and would like to use the companion certificates for our two other passengers. Her current certificate expires May 31st, 2024. If that is the case and she gets her new certificate on May 1st, chances are she won't be able to book a June ticket using her new certificate! She's had the card for years and this is the first time she's tried using it. Needless to say, she's frustrated.
Also, I can use mine but the availability is horrible! Does anyone think if I wait a few months to try to use it (for SEA) the options will be a bit better? Thanks...
Her timing is off. Her certificate validity requires the passengers must complete travel by 5/31/24. If she waits until 5/1/24 for the new one there likely won’t be availability in the lower fare buckets. I generally book mine 3-6 months in advance. Your best bet is to use your certificate now for any dates and times that are currently open.
