The flight we took last year was completely full. Thanks on the timing. I guess I will give it a couple more weeks before I lock in on EWR.
As to the other posters comment on lodging - I actually disagree. We book a night at a hotel and we get to sleep in the beds. If we arrive in the AM we are booking the night prior so we can check in at 7am. I'm not in my 20s and have a kiddo. Done with those days of wandering London with my luggage hoping they can check me in at 4pm only to pass out. Daytime flight is a game changer especially if you have 24/7 room service at your arrival hotel.

UA would load it, at latest, within next couple of weeks for a spring flight - it's actually getting kinda late to load a new flight to allow a reasonable interval for bookings.
If UA re-occupies the slot pair, who can say if UA decides to fill it specifically w/ a morning flight IAD-LHR? UA may be looking at other options.
