Recent DV stays?

Reviving this thread. Any stays since COVID? Interested to hear any recent feedback on the Montage, StR, Stein Eriksen, and the new(ish) Auberge property, Goldener Hirsch.

Montage looks nicely located but those green carpets look quite bad (imo) in photos. Maybe better in person, given how many people mention the hard product. Don’t love the “parking lot view” reports above…

StR is intriguing because we have a lot of Bonvoy points and could book into a nice suite category. Seeing good service reviews, bad food reviews. But we had a horrible experience at the midtown Manhattan property and have been wary of the brand since.

Stein Eriksen seems to be well-loved and I’m leaning towards that, but the website is not great and the pictures make everything look in dire need of a refresh. Great reviews from the mid-2010s though. (FWIW, many mention how “Swiss” it feels and that’s nice but I do care about true sense of place and would rather “feel” like I’m in Utah when I’m in Utah…)

Goldener Hirsch is the newest, and freshest-looking to me. We’ve only had good experiences with Auberge, including the Madeline in Telluride, and the reviews seem positive but not much about it on FT.

Any thoughts on the above? We are both skiers, so ski-in/ski-out would be great, as well as good food and HP that’s not too tired. Thanks!
