Pros
- Renovated rooms are very nice - and I was told by Jan 1 2024, every room in the property will be renovated
- Bed and pillow was very comfortable
- Impressive breakfast selection spread with omlets and crepe station
- Good location among the hotel zone and opposite a mall (though the mall is quite small and old) but the music fountain at night is nice
- Gorgeous hotel pool and landscape
However,
- As an Ambassador member, I didn't get any upgrade and probably got one of the worse room - low floor facing the courtyard (sunlight never comes in) rather than the pool
- The bathroom was not renovated even though the room was, and the if you fill the bathtub with water, the color is yellow-ish. I think it’s rusting in the pipes and it really needs a deep cleaning.
- The hotel lobby/restaurant/spa area didn't seem renovated and could do a touch up - it also has the saddest looking christmas tree I have seen
- They are not quite responsive on the app and could takes hours before a response
- I have called the reception 3 times and never once was it picked up
- Service generally is by the books, take-it-or-leave-it and not particularly helpful
- Spa was a hit-or-miss, I had a good experience while my friend didn't
- Shower water pressure is very weak
Oh has times have changed...I remember staying here several times over a decade ago during SPG days and even the mere presence of a platinum makes them tremble and treat you like VVIP.
