Thanks to credit cards, bloggers, etc. Iberia Business Class awards to/from the US generally sell out 11-12 months in advance. This is especially true for peak summer holiday season.

You will also only ever find 2 Business Class award seats on Iberia flights to/from Madrid. In very rare circumstances, you can find more seats if connecting through MAD to other European cities.

FWIW, at least Iberia offers 2 J award seats on every TATL flight. AA, UA and DL might offer 1 J award seat for the entire summer. (at saver rates)
