Unfortunately I’m in my residency and our hospital allows 4 weeks off throughout the year but they have to be taken in one week chunks at a time. Since I’m early on in my training I don’t get first say, so we’re trying to aim for trying one a year maybe? Doing maybe 4-5 nights at a location.
I was in your shoes once-upon-a-time dealing with trying to plan a honeymoon during fellowship and if your program only allows vacation time in 1 week blocks, I would do a domestic honeymoon and save these great properties until you are done with training when you can at least take 10-14 days given the flight times alone.
We did Amansara and Amanpuri together last year which we loved. It was the perfect combination of cultural exploration (Sara) and a fantastic beach holiday (Puri)! Best of luck with your planning.
