On QF, try "U" class.

But, don't expect to find much - QF is miserly with award seats, this is a highly popular route for demand - and if you begin looking at November you'd still not find many - February, good luck! DO be sure to consider QF's codeshare on FJ (Air Pacific) via NAD (Nadi, Fiji.)

"X" as you are using it here is for American Airlines "domestic" (including Canada, Mexico, Central American and Caribbean) upgraded with 500 mile upgrade "stickers" and does not apply to LAX - AKL, for instance.)

From what you are saying here, X will NOT show any avaliblity until 100 hours before the flight...what class should I look at to see if there is any avalible business award seats more than 100 hours ahead?
