Has anyone had success booking fares from ITA that include an AA transcon leg, with BA? Context:
I’m trying to book DUB-LHR-JFK-SFO return in May which is coming out around £1,800 on ITA and I can get this booked on AA via Powertools. I’d much rather book this with BA and tie in a hotel booking to make it a BA holiday (aware not double tier points).
When I try to price it on BA Multicity it puts the JFK-SFO leg into Economy and I can’t find a way to change it.
I called BA and the agent is being very helpful but sadly price is much higher (about £300pp).
Welcome any tips/ experiences of those that have had similar issues!
thanks

Yeah it's weird - for some strange reason the BA website can't find some of the AA Transcon flights - I ended up booking on AA for an August run from Dublin I did this year.
I did however manage to book a trip Venice-LHR-BOS-LAX in February this year on BA - so I don't know if that worked because it was a Boston transcon or because it wasn't Dublin or the great magic eight ball at BA IT decided it was allowed....
