I found a different airline and a different flight. The booking wasn't there the following day and when I search the same date and flight, there were no redemption flights available that day. I guess QR web showed phantom flights thus the final step - payment - failed. Funny thing was that BA showed the same flights but I got an error when I wanted to select the flight and see avios needed.
my card wasn't charged and avios are still sitting on my account.
