I'm trying to use an Aspire resort credit, and it's been a pain.
No replies to two emails...I tried calling a few days ago. Was told "you can't prepay for incidentals" but then told paying for tea would be fine. Then they never sent over the credit card form.
Called back today, was told a slightly different story... and now I'm waiting from the F&B team to call me back. :/ I used a Platinum credit at the WA Grand Wailea and it was easy...
It may be a stupid idea, but the $250 resort credit is going away in 2 days, so I understand the desperation. I don't know when you are planning your stay, but since the hotel seems to be ghosting you, providing inconsistent answers, would it be feasible to make another reservation for a 1-night stay far into the future. I checked through the Hilton app and it looks like the WA charges the first night deposit immediately.
Assuming that happens, it would allow you to utilize the $250 credit before it expires.
Then, when you show up to complete your first stay, and actually have the luxury of talking to an actual person face to face, mention that you have this second, prepaid, fully refundable reservation and ask them if you can transfer that credit to your current folio instead of canceling it and getting a refund.
I checked availability in October-December 2025 and the WA was showing as SOLD OUT, but rates for August, 2024 are available for around $300 per night. Good Luck.
