I called titanium customer support and got bounced around a bit, but ultimately wound up talking to a supervisor who told me this is something that I’ll have to raise with corporate. I was really unimpressed and I let this supervisor know that in my decades of traveling, I’ve never had something as bizarre as this done and added that I think this is something relatively new because I’ve stayed at two of the properties before and never had this sort of thing happen.

I actually canceled Reservations in our next city (Rome) because I noticed that two of the Reservations disappeared weeks ago and now i know why. so I wrote the hotel and told them whatever they’re up to just cost them six room nights at a decent chunk of change and I know they’re going to miss the revenue because the place is not sold out.

i’m curious how we know this is what is going on, but also why?? What good reason would there be for the property to do this and who with any basic knowledge of how people use apps today wouldn’t understand that this would have precisely the outcome it’s having for me right now?!!
