Hi there. I was wondering whether you'd had any luck resolving this?

I have a similar situation in trying to upgrade EDI/DOH/CGK at -20 days.Manage my booking has the upgrade section greyed out but when I log into my Priviledge Account and go through the Dashboard to spend avios, the option to upgrade for 80,000 avios appears. I have tried selecting this and rather frustratingly the wesite takes my card details before then displaying an error message that there is no upgrade availability.

I've also made a dummy booking for the same flights and there is avios availability for new bookings.

I contacted the live chat and all they said was that there was no availability for avios upgrades and that availability for new bookings is seperate.

I've used my aviois on BA previously and usually when there is award availability, it's available for both new bookings and people looking to upgrade. Do Qatar have a separate fare bucket for avios upgrades? Seems really strange that they won't allow me to upgrade but will allow someone to make a new booking for the exact same number of avios. If I upgraded that would release an economy seat which they might then sell.
