as you said, it’s the middle of nowhere, really. So no good reason to restrict parking.

We are back from this trip. I looked for signs and saw none in the main area for street parking - University Center Ln. There are some red zones and some yellow, but the rest is open. On weekdays, even between Christmas and NYE, the area was pretty parked up overnight and into the later morning. We did find parking each day, but had to walk a bit on some days.

There is parking on La Jolla Village Drive, but we have never tried there, so don't know about signage.
