Interesting thread. I’ve been at Concierge level since 2007 and never knew this. I’m booked to Frankfurt on Tuesday 2nd and will give it a blast.
On a separate note, about 2 months ago while sitting in 14F (with 14E) occupied, the senior on the flight approached me once doors closed and asked if I’d like a seat in Row 1 (Aer Space). I accepted. When I asked the senior why the offer and she replied that she saw I was Concierge on the passenger list. She told me it was not policy but her own way of saying Thank You. I was gobsmacked and very impressed. Hasn’t happened since.
One of my bug bears is the lack of recognition when it comes to seat assignments. I think the least EI could do is to allow Concs to choose any free seat once OLCI opens (not including Row 1).
