Glad I am not in a rush. I always go early to check in (obsessive compulsive).
It is a bit odd that most other carriers with PE can go after the business class and have a quick line for check in.. If I was correct, before the pandemic, with a small fee, for United, one can get priority boarding as well.
Strange. I guess it is what is. However, the EVA PE is comfy and service is good, according to the reviews.

Logically, it is fastest to board those from farthest from the doors first so they don't block others. Of course, Business Class passengers get to board first because of the cabin and there are not as many of them (especially if some of them are in front of the boarding door or have their own boarding door).
Most people who want to board early worry about the bin space. If the FAs are good at keeping PE's bins empty for PE passengers, that relieves that worry.
