Well, yes, but requiring passport data from foreigners, then believing anyone who claims they're not a foreigner doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me. What's the point of such requirement in the first place it can be circumvented so easily?
Either way, entering passport data in the app only works in the UK and select other countries so it will still be irrelevant for US citizens who posted above about their stays in the US.
