AF/KL own's bag tracking system sucks so much, that hoping anything will work properly when involving partners is asking for something crazy.
Here are two data points from this week only:
- TLS - CDG - BSL, had two checked bags, the connection in CDG got reduced from 1h40 to 35 minutes. We barely made it, yet the app indicated that the bags were loaded for the CDG-BSL flight. Shortly before push-back, the tracking in the app simply disappeared and it was as if I had not checked anything ("0 bag"). Also, my Airtag was showing the bags still in 2E, and without surprise, there were no bags on the belt in BSL. They were delivered 24h later at 10pm by a very sad delivery guy as he still had 7 bags to deliver that night, after leaving BSL at 2pm...
- BSL - CDG - TLS, had the same two checked bags, the app never showed any tracking for them
But they arrived just fine in TLS, and were even among the first on the belt (very surprising as in TLS ground handlers could not care less about priority tags)
