UA's baggage fee calculations that come with the e-mail might not be accurate all the time. They have a fee calculator but it does not allow you to pick VA Platinum - probably pick Star Gold: https://www.united.com/en/us/baggage...or/any-flights

It seems you get 1 bag at 23 KG in addition to what the fare allows (in this case it is 0). https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.co...-membership#ua
