Pleased to hear that worked for you. I had often booked LHR HND CTS through BA with very limited options for the codeshare connecting flight. Arriving early/on time with a four hour wait to the booked flight, JAL always claimed zero flexibility because BA refuse to change the booking. So now book JAL separately and suffer the cost penalty but anticipate JAL will be more helpful, whatever the circumstances.
