Waynesville Inn and Golf Club, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

A new option, out of the ordinary, opens December 30: Waynesville Inn & Golf Club, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Our historic inn was built in 1926 and sits in the south of Waynesville, just 30 minutes from Asheville. Downtown shops and restaurants are five minutes away, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is under an hour from us. Play a round on our 18-hole golf course, relax by the outdoor pool, or enjoy a meal in our restaurant. In between the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge mountains in Western North Carolina, our 165 acres offer beautiful terrain. Our hotel has state-of-the-art practice facilities including a full driving range, short game chipping/bunker area, lighted Himalayan putting green, and a par three short course.

Free parking. Rates vary by season: 31k - 55k. New Year's Eve: $134 (everything closed?). January/February as low as $124. Not all rooms are historical and not exactly the Biltmore, but it's renovated. Used to be part of Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

A day earlier:
Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown, a newly built ES. The pool won't open until January 4, the rooftop restaurant is still under construction. Weekend rates are insane (85k points), weekdays from $150 (43k!)
