That's a good point with what you said about using NH SFO-HND-HKG as another alternative just in case SFO-HKG doesn't work. I also looked into SFO-TPE-HKG as an option as well, just in case if EVA also works instead of NH if needed to be rebooked on *A carriers.

Thanks for the suggestion, guess shouldn't be too concerned with the 1hr.
