All of that said, I would absolutely go after the HA credit card and I plan on doing that soon for myself and P2.
I will go after the HA card in a few months… literally just got the AA Aviator from Barclays this month, and would like to see a bit more progress in the merger process. When is HA’s shareholder vote? Looks like DOT sued to block Jetblue/Spirit merger in 3/23, five months after the shareholders of Spirit approved the acquisition in 10/22.

Yes, Amex has a lot of transfer partners, and I generally don’t make transfers without a particular award booking in mind, but this might be an opportunity to stock up on harder-to-get miles. There is the uncertainty of future award pricing, but that is really true for everyone. And my MR balance keeps growing.
