Can I expand the discussion a bit? HA has both Amex (US) and Bilt as transfer partners. So in a roundabout way, if AS is successful with the acquisition and they offer a 1:1 transfer ratio, there would be a temporary opportunity to covert flexible points into AS miles.

I wonder if there will be a period of time where we know the transfer ratio and HA is still a transfer partner. Or will the transfers get shut down before the transfer ratio is announced. Or will AS simply become a transfer partner?

Anyone considering moving points proactively to HA now (or soon)? I am interested in moving some MRs from Amex, but will probably wait to see if AS/HA will face DOT/DOJ pushback.
