Edit: looks like you are “cardboard” AAdvantage, so AA probably will not book a backup itinerary while protecting you on the original… but my advice stands. 1:40 should be enough, but if it looks like MAD-PHL is delayed then ask AA to book you on PHL-DCA/CLT-SFA.
Thanks for the input. I should update my profile. I am AA Gold and one of my companions on this flight will be Plat. A long ways from EXP, but should that make me feel any better?
