Did I get notifications of those last two upgrades? No of course not.
The only way I knew about one of them was a "meal preorder" email.
Cleared an e-Up for Jan 8, no notification, no seat assigned, try to go into the booking to select the seat on both the website and the app...no luck, so I guess it's another un-necessary call to AC tying up call centre resources for something that I'd prefer to do myself!
Update...called AC, got right through on the SE line...tell agent I'm calling about booking ABC123 agent brings up booking, tells me ticket hasn't been issued yet and then suggests I have to call Aeroplan...I tell her it most certainly has been issued and my e-Up has been confirmed, she looks again and says 'oh yes, you're right, how can I help you'...me - 'just need you to do seating for me, the website isn't working...agent - in a bit of an exasperated tone 'it never works'...ridiculous, but mildly amusing at the same time.
