Thumbs up Air Asia "Fast Pass" APEC Lane immigration at KUL

Just like to report a very pleasant experience with Air Asias "Fast Pass" Add-on on a recent flight from HKT to KUL.

I clicked the Fast Pass option without knowing what to expect, simply to get the extra 7kg carry-on allowance that gives a total of 14kg, 2 piece carry-on.

1. Regular check-in queue at HKT Intl. was quite long, Fast Pass gave me access to a Dedicated Check-in Counter that was completely empty.
2. Priority Boarding: Zone 1 was useful in order to be on the plane first (after one wheelchair pax) and stow that extra carry-on in peace.
3. Xtra Carry-On allows you to fly carry-on only even with loads of heavy electronics, or to connect to your business class flight that would include a similar carry-on allowance of 2 x 7kg.
4. Fast Lane Immigration Services available at KLIA Terminal 2 via APEC lanes was absolutely worth it:

The regular queue looked uninviting, but I was greeted by empty APEC immigration lanes at KLIA 2 (didn't take picture as I didn't even have to queue at that stage and was already greeted by a guy leading me to the counter), no fingerprint scans, entry stamp was placed into passport according to my wish to save space and a corridor led me right through to baggage claim bypassing the crowds. Luggage was out quick, had a yellow tag "Xpress Bag".

Bypass regular immigration queue with Air Asia "Fast Pass" add-on.

xpress bag tag

Would 100% add this to my ticket again should I decide to fly AirAsia again. I opted for it because MH isn't much better than a LCC especially with their catering issues.
The flight itself was short enough to be survivable. I wouldn't fly AK for more than 2 hours though.

The cost for adding this was only about 15 USD per person per flight, so 30 USD per person for the return trip.
