Recently completed a 2 night stay on points (23K / night). Overall, beautiful property although the room design is a bit bizarre. Would definitely stay again.

-Took an uber to and rom AKL. Cost about NZD53 and took ~30 minutes
-Upgraded to Harbour View King Balcony from base King Balcony room
-Room had a nice view of the boats and downtown. Wasn't too loud although could hear a bit of music Saturday night from some of the restaurants. Bed was comfortable. Didn't love the design though - bed is near the entrance (prefer when it's far from hall although there wasn't really any noise), the toilet is separate from the bathroom and the light is on the outside. At night, it's really hard to go without waking someone else / blinding them with light. The closet (walk in) is in between the bathroom and toilet (not a washlet) directly across from the bed. The bathroom is very nice but again super weird the toilet isn't connected. The couch was large and quite uncomfortable. The balcony was great although the two chairs were not comfortable and just felt like a lot of great wasted space. Room was already starting to show it's age.
-Property is very cool design with massive atrium. Hotel feels massive. Almost like a Grand Hyatt if they wanted to convert.
-Gym had good amount of equipment.
-Didn't use the pool but it looked neat on the second floor and covered (but outside). Lots of lounging chairs. Seemed like the pool got good use.
-Breakfast at Onamata was included a globalist and fine. Buffet was kind of lacking (especially fruit) but you get one dish of the menu. Loved the avocado toast although pretty sure they ran out the second day and just used gauc spread vs. avocados. Overview, solid but not special.
-Loved the dining options. It was raining so we sat outside and enjoyed an afternoon coffee and tea in the Living Room. Very good vibe to relax.
-Lots to do nearby. Really liked the location on the water. We even walked to Parnell (about 40 minutes).
-No issues with soft product. Everyone was friendly. The service at Onamata was good - they were slammed and working really hard. We're low maintenance and don't use bellhop, concierge, etc.
