That's how I was able to book USD800 (roundtrip J MNL-BKK-MNL) and USD980 (roundtrip J MNL-HND-MNL). Am now seeing J fares to LHR and CDG for around USD2.7K, around mid Feb 2024, traveling some weekdays. (Weekend travel is US$3.5-5.5K). Hope this helps!
TY! I will give it a try. So far no luck but won’t give up hope just yet. I used to be able to snag J fares in the USD 3,500-5,000 range for JFK/EWR-HKG-KUL. Seems like the lowest they have been has been upwards of USD 7,500 while SQ and QR have occasionally had J fares in the USD 4,000-6,000 range. And more often than not I’m seeing CX fares at USD 15,000 or something just really cray!!

I should caveat that I typically go through Amex Platinum Travel which provides substantial savings.
