Hello. Yes, I hear ya ref CX J Fares. However, lately the calendar view has shown a variety of J fares and some have gone down to "old" levels. Have you tried it? On the home page click "reset calendar" and it will show fares for your chosen route for the next 3 months. That's how I was able to book USD800 (roundtrip J MNL-BKK-MNL) and USD980 (roundtrip J MNL-HND-MNL). Am now seeing J fares to LHR and CDG for around USD2.7K, around mid Feb 2024, traveling some weekdays. (Weekend travel is US$3.5-5.5K). Hope this helps!
