I just flew that route 3 days ago , and yes it was on the 777 . AUH -BKK used to be one of Etihad s busiest routes , so the high capacity 777 is used . Over the last 3 years the 787-10 has been used , due to entry restrictions into Thailand, but now those have been lifted , full capacity is back , and yes the flight was full . During the summer months May - September, low season in Thailand, they may switch back to the 787 as demand is not so high . .Sorry to disappoint you , its not the best J product , but its not the old old seats
