What is a "300 series Airbus"? I think you meant A330 or A350, which are widebodies equipped with long-haul, lie-flat business class seats that make a 1-2x daily appearance on MAD-LHR. Those are indeed a much more comfortable experience up front, but IMO not worth going significantly out of your way to fly on a relatively short route.
