I booked a flight form ADB-NAV, transiting through IST with a layover time of 1hr 10min. I think I found that MCT is 60min for domestic-domestic flights. However the ADB-IST leg is operated by a 77W, and although I booked row 12 for me and my partner, I'm concerned that the large plane will be an issue both with checked luggage and with difference in gates. Should I be rebooking for a longer layover?

The MCT for TK Domestic to TK Domestic is 45 minutes and it's totally doable.
There are no security checks in between and the domestic section of the terminal is relatively small.
If your time is on time, even if you park at a remote stand, you would make the connection.
If not, TK would rebook you to the next flight to NAV free of charge.
However, if you would like additional peace of comfort, book a longer layover. Note, that in case you voluntarily change your flight, you wouldn't get your money back for paid seat assignments ( just in case you did pay ).
